Our mesquite tree out front looks like something straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. It is loaded with thousands of brilliant yellow pom-pons, and it puts a smile on my face each time I step out my front door.

We are best twins who met when we were 16. Now we live 2,283 miles apart (as the car drives). We both find great joy in the beauty of this life. Incredible. I have never seen anything quite like it! I love flowering trees. My obsesesion started when I arrived in spring to Madeira. They had the most interesting flowering trees, but I've never seen a flowering mesquite!
